Eucalyptus Blue smells like a cough drop to me - it's a very refreshing smell. Out of the three types of Eucalyptus oils that Young Living carries, Eucalyptus Blue has the lowest amount of the constituent eucalyptol. Although Eucalyptus trees can be found in many places in the world, the trees that are used to make Young Living's Eucalpytus Blue come from a farm in Ecuador. Historically, the people of Eucuador used the leaves of the Eucalpytus trees to make a poltice to cover wounds or sores. They also used it to keep pests and bugs at bay.
Usage + Recipes
Eucalyptus Blue can be used topically and aromatically (when used topically, be sure to dilute 50/50 with a carrier oil). This is a fantastic oil to use for respiratory system support (both aromatically and topically). It can also be used in your diffuser to help promote a relaxing or calming atmosphere. Eucalyptus Blue can be added to your post-workout cream or roller to help soothe muscles.
- Respiratory Support: add 5 drops of Eucalyptus Blue to a 10ml glass roller bottle (preferably with a metal roller top) and top off with a carrier oil of your choice (fractured coconut oil is great for this). Then apply to the chest to help support your lungs!
- Post-Workout Cream (add 5 drops of Eucalyptus Blue to this recipe)
